In that case, skip the missed dose and take the next one on your usual day. If you take too much Wegovy, seek medical advice immediately.

Each dose of Wegovy contains Semaglutide as the active ingredient, with varying strengths available. It also includes excipients such as water for injection, disodium phosphate dihydrate, propylene glycol, and phenol. These components help maintain the stability and effectiveness of the medication.
Common side effects of Wegovy may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, abdominal pain, and decreased appetite. In some cases, more serious side effects like pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, or kidney injury may occur. If you experience severe abdominal pain or notice signs of a possible allergic reaction such as rash, swelling, or difficulty breathing, seek immediate medical attention.
Wegovy is not suitable for individuals with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2. If you have a history of pancreatitis or are allergic to Semaglutide, do not use this medication. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not take Wegovy. If you have a history of depression or other mental health conditions, consult your doctor before starting this treatment. Additionally, inform your healthcare provider of all medications you are currently taking, especially insulin or other antidiabetic drugs.
Wegovy contains the active ingredient semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist. GLP-1 is a hormone that supresses appetite and increases the feeling of fullness after eating. This makes people eat less, which in turn can lead to weight loss.
The injectable prescription medication Wegovy is used to treat people who are overweight or obese, with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher.
It is also prescribed to people with a BMI of 27 or higher with weight-related health problems, such as type 2 diabetes or cardiovascular diseases.
Wegovy, also known as semaglutide, is not suitable for everyone. It should not be used by people with certain medication conditions, such as a kidney or liver disease, or by pregnant or breastfeeding women.
The most common side effects of Wegovy are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, stomachache, headache, dizziness, tiredness, changes in taste sensations, a general feeling of being unwell (malaise), and injection site reactions. These symptoms are usually mild and generally go away within a few weeks.
Serious side effects, such as pancreatitis, gallbladder disease and kidney problems, can occur while taking Wegovy, but they are rare.
Wegovy is injected once a week. The duration of treatment varies per person. Most people use Wegovy for one year or longer. How long Wegovy is used depends on each person’s individual weight loss goals, and should be determined by a doctor.
Yes, Wegovy and Ozempic share the same active ingredient: semaglutide. However, they have been approved for use for different purposes. Wegovy is specifically indicated for the treatment of overweight and obesity, while Ozempic is indicated for managing type 2 diabetes.
